Welcome to the Town of Cumberland’s Comprehensive Plan Page The State of Rhode Island requires the Town of Cumberland to update its Comprehensive Plan every 10 years, slated for 2027. The Comprehensive Plan serves as the Town’s guiding document for long-term land-use and planning decisions. It exists as a visionary report of what the Town will look like.
Comprehensive Plan Timeline -Phase 1: Collection of data and existing conditions for each element. -Phase 2: Analysis of current planning challenges and developing goals and strategies to address the Town’s vision statement. -Public Engagement: Gathering feedback and input from residents, community members, and stakeholders, through public workshops, meetings, comments, and community surveys.
